I agree about Clannad not being here, personally I think it’s a bit rubbish but it’s a classic of the genre and should really be included. We’re in love with even just the idea of this upcoming dating sim from Bloom Games. Later Daters is a dating sim with a cast of characters all in the later years of life. That’s right, this is a game full of cute elderly people looking for love, and it just gets more adorable from there. The protagonist isn’t specifically looking for love, but rather hope, as they tend to drift aimlessly from one job to another.
And it didn’t hit the same emotional beats for me that the original does so well. As someone who has been slightly interested in trying an Ace Attorney game for some time, describing it as a “visual novel” doesn’t sound very appealing to me at all… The only visual novels apps that I really like are all on Android with Choices as absolute favorite and Storyscapes, Lifeline Universe, on switch Bury me, Coffee Talk and NeoCab are OK.
